What God has done in my life at Walk Right (part 2)

[

In continuation….

As I studied at Walk Right, I had the privilege to serve at Community Baptist Church in Harrison. God gave me the opportunity to serve singing in the choir, special music, work with the dear children in King’s Kids and also have a short time with prayer and testimony with the teens on Weds. It was so much fun to be able to teach God’s truths, help one on one, and be able to develop a friendship with them all. The hard part was having to leave when I graduated:( It was so good to be active in ministry while in training.

Today was such a busy but an amazing day! Let me tell you about it….

I had a wonderful opportunity to report to work, serve the ladies at the retreat for lunch and dinner, sang in the Walk Right choir twice, and in the evening, I started reading the book “Trusting God”.

I had been struggling with wanting to love, walk, and serve the Lord with my whole heart but battling with selfish desires and afraid of missing God’s best for my future. So, this evening while reading a book called “Trusting in God”, God gave me a spiritual feast! He feed my soul and gave me such a joy and peace because I realized I was not trusting in God completely in regard to my future and marriage. Now, I fully realize that He has a detailed plan for my life and that everything He does is for my good and for His glory. I don’t have to worry about my future and whether I will miss the person God has for me. All I need to concentrate on is completely surrendering my will to the Lord, walk with Him, trust God knowing He is in complete control of my life,to walk or live in the Spirit and serve and love others through Christ in me. My prayer now has been earnestly asking Him not to let me do my will but for Him to do His will in my life. It is wonderful to be able to completely trust in Him and just relax and serve Him. I was so joyful that I wanted to tell everybody! I remember going to my room and sitting in the darkness laughing with joy, praising the Lord and feeling that such a burden was lifted. After a few moments, my laughter turned to weeping and I started praying that God would work in the hearts of the other students who where struggling with these same things or similar things and that they would be able to experience this same thing.

Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

(Ps. 16:1,3,11)

A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.” (Prv. 16:9)

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.”

(Ps.37:3-7)

Is it not wonderful to be able to trust a God that does everything for our good and His glory?! Will you put your complete trust in Him each and every day? Rest and relax in Him and just enjoy submitting to Him and serving Him because He has your best interest at heart. He is in control! Praise and exalt His name today!
