“…Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfill it.” (Colossians 4:17)
I can honestly say, that we did fulfill the ministry and work that God had prepared for us that week in New York City. God guided us each step of the way and He did a miraculous work in many, many lives and in our own, as well. One thing that we did different this trip, that I truly enjoyed, was how we got more involved with the new churches in the city and helped them as much as possible.
We got to do a lot of sight seeing, walked a lot, met a lot of people and did intense ministry in 4 different avenues, Gospel Rope presentation in the subways, one on ones in the parks, track blitzes, and a children s program in the park. The memories and experiences will always be in my mind and heart.
We saw many saved, handed out thousands of tracts, and was able to share the Gospel and His truth in many personal ways.
One of the things that truly encouraged us as we sought to minister that week was a story one of the pastor’s shared with us. He shared how one of his most faithful people in the church came to know the Lord and found their church by a track that was thrown on the ground. Sometimes it might seem that our labor is in vain when we don’t see a lot of fruit but it is never in vain when God is in it. He is at work. We just have to surrender and depend on Him completely. He is doing a work.
Thank you all for your prayers and support during this time. Please continue to pray for the churches who are there and the people of New York City who need Jesus.
