How to Experience a Real Walk With God

First of all, only God gives us the desire and power to do His good pleasure. We do not naturally seek or understand God and His thoughts and ways.

Philippians 2:13 says, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”

Romans 3:11 says, “There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.”

Isaiah 55:8 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.”

We can’t truly love, please, and serve God without full surrender to His Person and being controlled and filled by the Holy Spirit within us.

Isaiah 55:6 says, Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:”

James 4:8 says, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”

Matthew 16:24,25 says, “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.”

Galatians 2:20 says,“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

The biggest thing that God has been teaching me this year is to love Him with ALL my heart, to have complete and undivided love and devotion to Him.

Matthew 22:37-40 says, Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”

Luke 10:27 says, “And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.”

So, how do I love the Lord with all my heart? I must walk or live like Jesus. In order to live like Jesus, we must spend time with Him. Get to know how He thinks and how He acts. Take a look at this chart “Walking With God”.

A big problem we have is to not relax and just enjoy being a Christian!

Lets stop worrying about tomorrow and our future. Seek His will, His direction, obey it, and trust God for the rest.

Matthew 6:34 says, Take therefore no thought for the morrow (don’t worry about tomorrow): for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

Psalm 9:10 says, “And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.”

Psalm 37:1-7 says, Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the Lord,…”

We must be completely commit to God. I will follow Jesus. No turning back. No turning back.

Romans 14:8 says, For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.”

Philippians 1:21 says, For to me to live is Christ,…”

Matthew 6:24 says, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

We must decide each day to put Him first and do His will.

Matthew 6:10 says, “…Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”

Psalm 27:11 says, “Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.”

Then, God will truly bless our lives.

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.”

Psalm 119:1,2
